True faith in Jesus will be evident through how people live their lives.

Outline

1. Faith leads people to persist in prayer. (1-8)
1. Key Verse - And will not God give justice to his elect, who cry to him day and night? Will he delay long over them? (v. 7)
2. Application Question - How well are you persisting in prayer?
2. Faith leads people to be humble. (9-14)
1. Key Verse - I tell you, this man went down to his house justified, rather than the other. For everyone who exalts himself will be humbled, but the one who humbles himself will be exalted. (v. 14)
2. Application Question - How are you exalting yourself? 
3. Faith leads people to depend upon God genuinely. (15-17)
1. Key Verse - Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it. (v. 17)
2. Application Question - In what areas of life are you not depending upon God?
4. Faith leads people to follow Jesus wholeheartedly, regardless of the costs. (18-30)
1. Key Verses - And he said to them, “Truly, I say to you, there is no one who had left house or wife or brothers or parents or children, for the sake of the kingdom of God, who will not receive many times more in this time, and in the age to come eternal life.” (29-30)
2. Application Question - Is there anything holding you back from faithfully following Jesus?
5. Faith leads people to glorify God. (31-43)
1. Key Verse - And immediately he recovered his sight and followed him, glorifying God. And all the people when they saw it, gave praise to God.
2. Application Question - In what specific ways are you glorifying God?
